Unless you live under a rock, you might have heard about the new Tau model, KV128 Stormsurges. That is the beast! If you thought that RipTide was broken... look at this guy:

A więc co tam kiepsko widać? Ano rzeczy straszne! WS 2, BS3 to standard raczej dla wielkich maszyn krocząo toczących w 40tce. Siły to bydle ma 6 i T tyle samo. Smutnym jest fakt że save tylko 3+, ale za to W8 ratuje sytuację. Mierne dwa ataki z inicjatywą dwa... no cóż. Nie ma ta maszyna walczyć wręcz. 

So what we can barely see in the next picture? Horrible things! WS 2, BS 3 is a standard for such huge machines in 40k. It has S6, same as T6. It is a sad thing to have only a 3+ save, but with 8 wounds save the day. Mere two attacks in close combat with initiative 2... well. It's not built to fight in hand to hand combat.

Zwróćcie uwagę na działo zwane Pulse Battlecannon z profilem S10, AP2, Ordnance 1, Large Blast i zasięgiem 72". Może je zamienić na Pulse Driver Cannon z ciekawą zasadą, zmieniającą profil w zależności od dystansu do celu. Do 10" jest to D weapon  AP1, Heavy 2; 10"-20" jest to S10, AP1, Heavy 2, Blast, 20"-30" S9 AP3 Heavy 2, Large Blast.

Please spot the huge gun called Pulse Battlecannon with S10, AP2, Ordnance 1, Large Blast and 72" range. It can be swapped for a Pulse Driver Cannon with an interesting rule, changing its profile depending on the distance to the target. Up to 10" it's a D weapon  AP1, Heavy 2; 10"-20" it's a S10, AP1, Heavy 2, Blast; 20"-30" S9 AP3 Heavy 2, Large Blast.

Jak widać po ogromnym dziale zapakaowanym na prawę ramię KV128, ten gościu ma strzelać. Jakbyście nie zauważyli dwóch zasobników z rakietami na ramionach, to są tam. I mają po 30 rakiet każdy - Cluster Rocket System... zasięg 48 cali, S5, AP5 i Heavy 4D6.

Dodatkowo posiada Twin-linked SMS, cztery Destroyer Missiles (S8, AP1, Heavy1, One Use Only, 60") oraz Twin-linked flamer.

As you can gather from the huge gun on its right arm, this guy is supposed to shoot. And the two missile pods containing 30 rockets each sort of prove the point. Cluster Rocket System... 48" range, S5, AP5, Heavy 4D6.

Additionally it has Twin-linked SMS, four Destroyer Missiles (S8, AP1, Heavy1, One Use Only, 60") and Twin-linked flamer.

Moja ocena tego jest taka ;)

Tau otrzymuje świetne modele przed nowym kodeksem. Dodatkowo wypuszcza Tau Aegis Defense Line (w kółku - znalezione przez gościa z Blog for the Blood God). Tau znowu stanie się siłą niszczącą inne frakcje i zdominuje scenę turniejową. Fluff bunnies nadal pozostaną wierni swoimi ideałom, ale chyba wielu, w tym i ja, wyłamią się i zakupią nowy model mordercę. Za 360 punktów dostajemy nawałnicę ognia. Jeśli wykorzystamy synergię Tau i Marker Drones, oddział trzech KV128 (tak, można dodać dwa do unitu) będzie czyścił stoły.

Miłej zabawy ;)

My judgments of this is as follows...

Tau receives amazing models before the new codex comes out. You can also see Tau Aegis Defense Line (marked in a circle by Blog for the Blood God guy). Tau will again become a force anihilating opposition and will most probably dominate the tournament scene again. Fluff bunnies will stay true to their ideals but some will give in and buy the new killer toy. For 360 points we get a ton of firepower. And if we synergize with Marker Drones, the unit of three KV128 will start clean out tables very soon.

Dzisiaj odbyła się pierwsza gra od dłuższego czasu pomiędzy mną a Witkiem. Ja zagrałem Tau, a on Blood Angels. Chciałbym powiedzieć, że grę wygrałem już po wyjęciu modeli z pudełek, ponieważ moje były pomalowane na 100% a u niego nie dość, że niekompletne, to jeszcze tylko jeden miał na sobie coś więcej niż podkład ;)

Oto co wystawiliśmy (mniej więcej) na 1000pkt:

Today I had the first game in a really long while against my friend Witek. I played Tau and he played Blood Angels. I wanted to share with you the fact, that I have won the game straight up when he took the models out of the box - mine were 100% painted and his have not even been assembled fully.

This is what we had played with for our 1000pts:

Commander Shadowsun with two bodyguards
5x Firewarriors in a Devilfish
5x Firewarriors in a Devilfish
3x Broadsides with Railguns and 2xSMS
Hammerhead

Captain with a  Power Fistem
5x Tacticals with Heavy Flamer in a Rhino
5x Tacticals with Heavy Flamer in a Rhino
5x Terminators with a  Heavy Flamer
5x Terminators with Thunderhammers and shields
Furioso Dread

Przebieg gry

Tau wystawiało się pierwsze i ustawiło się tak, aby jak najwięcej widzieć i zająć od razu jakieś znaczniki po prawej i po lewej stronie.

The game

Tau has deployed first and opted for maximum visibility of the playing field and at the same time taking objectives on the left and right side.

Blood Angels zapuszkowani w Rhinosy skupili się raczej na środku stołu i jego jednej flance.

Blood Angels embarked in Rhins focused on the middle and one of the flanks.

Tak wyglądał stół z lotu ptaka. Jeśli zastanawiacie się, na czyjej macie graliśmy, to można ją zakupić na tej stronce Wargames Mat - Mars Mat lub przez ich facebunia tutaj.

Niestety Blood Angelsi ukradli inicjatywę i ruszyli do ataku. Szybkie Rhinosy ruszyły na znacznik a za nimi Furioso.

Unfortunately Blood Angels stolen the initiative and rushed to attack. Fast Rhinos have taken an objective together with Furioso.

Spokojnie, Tau było na to przygotowane.

Easy peasy lemon squeeze, Tau was ready for such eventuality.

Cały stół zwrócił oczy na te dwa oddziały Angelsów. Padła seria strzałów. Nie wszystkie celne lub wystarczająco mocne aby zniszczyć przeciwnika.

The whole table turned to face those two units. A volley of fire has been shot. Not many of them hit the target. Even less penetrated the armour.

Dowódcy imperialni wykorzystali tę dystrakcję i wrzucili dwa oddziały terminatorów na plecy Tau.

Imperial commanders have used this window of opportunity to deep strike two units of terminators on Tau's back.

Sami taktyczni marines też nie próżnowali i od razu wzięli się do roboty niszcząc Hammerheada.

Tactical marines were not idle either and got out of the Rhino to destroy the Hammerhead.

Pozostałe jednostki skupiły się na zabezpieczeniu linii wsparcia i zaopatrzenia (w punkty zwycięstwa).

Other units focused on securing support and reinforcement routes (taking victory points).

Oddziały Tau i tym razem zmieniły punkt zainteresowania. Dowódczyni Shadowsun odważnie zdeepstrikowała bez rozrzutu, zupełnie zapominając, że przecież ma inne umiejętności. Pomyliłem Warlord Traits ;)

Tau army has shifted it's focus. Commander Shadowsun has deep striked perfectly, forgeting entirely about her other abilities (I messed up Warlord Traits ;)

Waleczni rybogłowi poczęli oddawać nieustające salwy w stronę przeciwnika powoli uszczuplając jego szeregi.

Brave fishheads started shooting volleys of fire against the tactical marines slowly draining their numbers.

Na drugiej flance bardzo skuteczne strzelanie usunęło niebezpieczeństwo jednego oddziału terminatorów. Niestety ostał się drugi...

On the other side of the table a very effective round of shooting has removed one unit of terminators, but there was one more...

Terminatorzy z młotami zaatakowali dowódczynie Shadowsun. Ta jednak skutecznie odparła ataki sierżanta zabijając go zanim uniósł brew. Na widok tej porażki reszta oddziału wpadła w furię i z naszej dowódczyni pozostał ino mokry ślad w piasku.

Thunderhammer Terminators attacked Commander Shadowsun and her retinue. She managed to kill the sargent before he could even blind. Seeing that, the rest of the squad swore their oathes of vengance and kill the whole unit right off! Commander Shadowsun left only a moist bit of sand.

Na drugiej flance Furioso i Kapitan szarżowali Firewarriorów. Ci nieskutecznie stawiali im opór.

On the other side, Furioso and the captain have charged the Firewarriors. They have not withstood the onslaught.

Jako odwet za Shadowsun, cała prawa flanka wypaliła do pozostałych terminatorów. Jakże nieskutecznie!

To avenge Shadowsun, the whole right flank has opened fire on the three remaining Terminators. How inefficient!

Terminatory nadal stoją!

They still stand!

Kapitan z obstawą zwycięsko opuszczają tę część stołu prąc do przodu.

Captian with his crew has moved onward.

Wykorzystali nieuwagę Tau i zjechali się wszyscy. Teraz Tau, już bez szans, ustanowiło perymetr obronny i walczyło do końca.

Taking adavntage of the situation, marine units ganged up on Tau remaining forces. Tau managed to establishe a defence perimiter and fought bravely till the end.

Niestety tutaj zakończyła się misja Tau. Broadsidy zginęły od terminatorskich młotów, a Firewarriorzy uciekli aby donieść do statku matki o nadciągających siłach wroga. Porażka Tau... ale wszystko dla większego dobra!

Unfortunately this is where it all ended. Broadsides died to Terminators' Thunderhammers and Firewarriors ran away to report to the mothership about the oncoming enemy forces. Tau has lost... but all for the grater good!

Kroot & Etheral

Witajcie!

Dzisiaj fotka zakończonych Krootów z Allegro. Nie malowałem tych figurek, jedynie je wykończyłem. Zrobiłem podstawki, położyłem washe (Devlun Mud i Nuln Oil) aby zbliżyć je kolorystyką do innego oddziału Krootów.
Dodatkowa fotka Etherala, którego chyba nie fotografowałem na bloga.

Today I got a picture of finished Kroot squad bought on auction house. I have not painted these miniatures. Just done the bases and tied them down with my previous squad by applying some washed (Devlun Mud and Nuln Oil).

I have recently schedule a game and I'm going to use my Tau. I have not played with the whole army yet, I just like the models and keep buying them for no reason. In the video you can see what I got painted, what I still need to paint and what I need to get rid of. Enjoy!

Box #6 Devilfish /3

Skończony!

Model na luty 2015 z pudełka numer 6 zakończony! Teraz pozostało odpicować podstawkę razem z dwoma pozostałymi do innych lataczy i trzy orkowe latawce wylądują na blogu. 

Ale kilka słów o samej konstrukcji: zakupiony, kiepsko poklejony Devilfish miał wylądować jako element terenu. Na szczęście miałem inny pomysł. Kilka zakrętek i wizyt w bits boxie później mamy twór ten oto poniżej przedstawiony.

W sumie największym problemem był montaż na standardowym stojaku dla latajek. Jak wiecie Devilfish jest na jednopunktowym podstawku. Pół godziny zabawy z wiertarką palcową i zrobione. W sumie, to mogłem to zrobić najpierw, nie musiałbym się szczypać tak bardzo z nieuszkodzeniem modelu.

Nie przedłużając - zerknijcie na zdjęcia i dajcie znać jak wam się podoba.

It's finished!

My February's commitment is done! The only thing left is th base, that shall be done with two other bases for my orky flyers, so I can put them on the blog completely finished.

Let's focus on the build itself for a minute. The Devilfish I bought was so bad, I thought I will have to use it as a piece of terrain, luckily, a creative thought struck my mind. Couple bottle caps and visits in the bits box later I ended up with this monstrosity.

To be honest, the biggest challange was the stand mount I had to drill in it. As you know Devilfish uses single hole clear base. 30 minutes with a dremel tool and I was done. I could have done it before painting it, to save myself time being careful with the model.

Moja praca na luty posuwa się całkiem sprawnie do przodu. Już skończony mam montaż. Malowanie podstawowych kolorów też zakończyłem. Dzisiaj poszły pigmenty, i część detali. Jak tak dalej pójdzie, to skończę w niedzielę (22 lutego). Efekt pracy dotychczas widać poniżej.

My February's commitment job is going quite smoothely. I have finished the assembly. Painting of base colours is also done. Today was the day I played with some pigments and bit of detailwork. If all goes well, I should finish it by the end of next Sunday (22th February). You can see the results so far below.

Box #6 - Devilfish

Jak zapowiadałem na Facebooku, konkurs dobiegł końca wraz z końcem stycznia. Wybrane zostało pudełko numer 6 a w nim konwertowany Devilfish. Zaraz po wyjęciu z pudła wyglądał tak.

As I promised on my Facebook page, the voting has ended together with January. Box number 6 has been chosen and from it a Devilfish has emerged. That's how it looked like just after taking it out.

 

Jak na razie wyglądał jak zwykły Devilfish z zajebistymi silnikami (skromność przemawia przeze mnie na wskroś) i jakąś tam rurką. Ale to mi nie wystarczyło. Przód był zbyt petaułski, znaczy się szczupły. Wymagał mięcha!

As you can see it looked like a normal Devilfish with awesome Orky engines (if I can say so myself) and an exhaust pipe. This was not enough for me. The front was to wimsy and thin. It needed bulking up!

Spójrzcie na te silniki z zakrętek. Spójrzcie na nie!!!

Look at those engines made out of bottle caps. Look at them!!!

Zanurkowałem więc w swoje bits boxy o nakładłem płyt, szybek i różnego rodzaju badziewia na niego. Dodałem dwie symetryczne rury wydechowe, które odłamałem z ciężarówki z Allegro (ktoś to fajnie skonwertował) i voila! Grubasek!

I have dived into my bits boxes and started adding plates and shields and shit. I have added two symmetrical exhaust pipes that I snapped off a trukk I bought already converted and voila! Fatboy!

Teraz powoli pracuję nad malowaniem, bazowe kolory już są, ale fotki pokażą się, jak będzie coś więcej. A teraz nie pozostaje wam nic innego jak złożyć mi gratulacje z ruszenia hobby po kilku tygodniach bezczynności oraz stworzenia tej latającej bestii.

So now I am slowly painting it, base colours are there already. Pics will appear when there's more to show. And now you can only congratulate me restarting my hobby after couple of weeks of doing nothing and coming up with this beast of a flyer.
