Today I got first steps of the assembly of the amazing Kromlech kit called Juggernaut Mecha-Armour Squad. I have received it some time ago, but only now have found some time to work on them. I have spread all the bits around to see what's what...
Jak widzicie na obrazku poniżej, torsy tych mechów są całkiem pokaźnie i pełne fikuśnych szczegółów, dodających im uroku.
As you can see in the picture below, bodies of these mechs are quite big and full of intricate details making them so nice.
Największą niespodzianką są nogi, które mają nawet odlane tłoki! I to bez klejenia... dwa zdjęcia niżej.
The biggest surprise comes in the form of legs. They even have pistons properly cast, in piece. You can see them two pics below.
Po dopasowaniu torsów do kompletów nóg skleiłem je superglue i przymocowałem do korkowych podstawków. Jak widzicie, jest to jedno z pierwszych zastosowań tych koreczków, o których pisałem parę dni temu. Tak oto prezentują się kompletne ciałka bez rąk i głowek.
After dry fitting upper bodies to the legs I have glued them with super glue and mounted them on cork holders I have reviewed few days back. This is how complete bodies look like.
Kombinacji oczywiście jest wiele, 3 torsy, 3 nogi... 9 możliwości? Dobrze to liczę?
There are many combinations, 3 upper bodies, 3 legs... 9 possible setups? Am I counting it right?
Zwróćcie uwagę na ilość szczegółów na plecach. Te silniki i rurki i kable. Wszystko ręcznie rzeźbione!
Mark the amount of detail work on the back. Those engines, pipes and wiring. All this hand sculpted!
Każda z rąk składa się z dwóch elementów: przedramienia i broni głównej. Tutaj niestety nie ma już tyle możliwości, ale w połączeniu z dziewięcioma różnymi ciałami i kombinacjami broń do walki wręcz i karabin mamy już naprawdę wiele możliwych zestawów. Ekstra pomysł!
Each of the arms is made out of two parts, upper arm and lower arm. There are not so many possibilities here, but in combination with nine different bodies and different mixes of arms you have plenty of possible kits. Great idea!
Tak oto prezentuje się cała zgraja. Wszystkie łapki (sparowane) oraz ciała.
And that's how all the bits look like. All hands paired up and the bodies.
Przyszły oczywiście też głowy. Do wyboru niestety tylko trzy. Podstawki są mojej produkcji.
Of course there were some heads as well, unfortunatelly only three. Bases are my own design.
Jeśli chodzi o jakość wykonania, to większość błonek usunąłem twardszym pędzelkiem. Kilka kanalików dopływowych trzeba było odciąć, ale to drobnostka. Ogólnie jakość wykonania na najwyższym poziomie. I nie piszę tego dlatego, że mają banner na moim blogu. Ja na prawdę uwielbiam ich produkty. I polecam je z całego serca.
Już niedługo będą miał kolejne ich produkty, możecie spodziewać się kolejnych recenzji, a tymczasem zapraszam do zaglądania, gdyż niedługo pokażę, jak poszło mi malowanie tych bestii!
Now, about the quality of the casts: most of the flash could be removed with a brush with hard bristles and the remaing resin flash could be easily cut off. The quality is really really good, and I'm not just saying that because they got a banner on my blog. I really like their products and can recommend them with all my heart.
